Overton Ovation is under the direction of Mr. Valdez. Originally from Jackson, TN, Mr. Valdez is a pianist, guitarist, singer, songwriter, and educator. He earned a bachelors in commercial music from the University of Memphis in 2001. He has recently completed his gradute degree in Education from Union University. From the stages of Libertyland Amusement Park, to appearing on national television, Mr. Valdez has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the commercial music industry. After spending more than 10 years with one of the largest entertainment organizations in Memphis, Mr. Valdez is focusing his efforts on sharing his love for  music and performing with the students of Shelby County Schools. Overton High School is Shelby County's premiere public performing arts school. Mr. Valdez is proud to be apart of the faculty of Overton High School. Go Wolverines!!
